Future Diary: Mosaic is a spin-off manga of the Future Diary series.

Summary

It features Minene Uryu as the main character and includes five chapters, each of them focusing on several arcs of the story under Minene's point of view before and after she got her future diary.

-In the first manga Minene is shown to be granted her future diary by [[Muru Muru]] while she was on a terrorist mission assasinating a holy person.

-Second chapter, which is also known as ''Can We Survive?'' is where Minene is first shown in the Sakurami City Mountains, where she seems to be chased by someone she is unknown of who actually is, however it is later revealed to be one of [[Tsubaki Kasugano|6th's]] people. Soon a silhouette of a man is shown, which happens to be the 12th Diary Holder, [[Yomotsu Hirasaka]], and Minene is then found laying in a bed. When she finally wakes up, 12th brings her to a doctor to see after her eye after it got damaged by [[Yukiteru Amano|Yukiteru's]] dart.
-th and Minene joins up as a team after a discussion between them, and Minene is later picked up by an ambulance 12th called after, however the "doctors" later turns out to be one of 6th's people, and Minene is later shown captured by 12th, because of the reason that he was given a mission to catch Minene herself before any of the other people that are considered as one of 6th's followers, in order to infiltrate the Onukata region.

-In the third chapter, which is called ''Reisuke Houjou's Plan to Attack Yukiteru's House'', you see Minene visiting a shadow doctor, a doctor who takes care of criminals who are unable to visit a normal doctor. They are discussing the child which also happens to be visiting the same shadow doctor as Minene. His parents were killed under the "Omekata incident".

-Minene goes out only a few seconds after to check on the kid, which is actually [[Reisuke Houjou]], the 5th Diary Holder. He is taken by Minene in trying to take a bottle of potassium cyanide off a shelf. He falls down when Minene is trying to take him away, and it is here Minene finds a very abnormal list of his. Normally, 5th quickly takes the bottle and his list away from her. After quite a discussion between her and 5th, he decides to run away, crying. Minene goes after him and manages to find out that he would go to the Chrome Plating Factory to search after some hydrocyanicacid. 5th is soon shown on a bicycle at the factory, however he did not have to search long, after he manages to find both the hydrocyanicacid and his dolls at the same place. Of course, Minene sat a trap there, however 5th only decided to take the hydrocyanicacid and therefore the trap was not released, because of the reason that Minene placed them at the dolls.
-At the same time in the Sakurami Police Department there have been received a word that the factory that Minene happened to be in had been held up (obviously by Minene), and Nishijima is quick to suspect her after the details has revealed that the person had an eyepatch.
-Later, 5th is placed in the Self Defense Shop in the Sakurami Shopping District. The storekeeper, [[Yoshi Gorou]], is extremely surprised to see a child visiting her shop, and her surprise strengthens when 5th is asking after a stun gun and a gas mask. However, only one page after 5th is seen actually been giving the things he asked for, however right under the disk where the storekeeper happens to be at, Minene is kneeling down, pointing a gun at Yoshi. Soon Yoshi starts showing a couple of dolls to 5th, which obviously happens to be those of his own. However, 5th refuses to take his dolls back once again.
-What seems like only a couple of minutes later, the police is shown inspecting the several places Minene and 5th has happened to visit during this chapter. More reports are being given to them, all at places where Minene (or "Minene look-a-like", as they described it) has been seen, and this is all simply caused by the reason that Minene would give 5th his dolls.
-Thousands of police cars are placed just behind Minene, however she quickly absconds to a bank which she found out that 5th would rob later. As she sees 5th, she offers her a bag which was filled with the money of the bank that was planned to be robbed and, of course, also his dolls. And yet, 5th refuses another time.

-Minene plans yet another time to give back his dolls, however she is unable to find the location of where he is going next, as the next thing as listed on his list only includes the word "pha". 5th is soon shown at the place where the dead bodies of his parents are placed. He decided to lay down in the middle of his parents' bodies, because he never got the chance to sleep side by side by his parents when they were alive.
-After some time, Minene manages to find him at the place around his parents, and she finally gives the dolls to him and leave.

-The fourth manga is called ''The Story of How Minene Uryu Got into Gothic Fashion''. Here Minene is first shown running away from [[Takao Hiyama]], the 3rd Diary Holder, only 4 days before Yukiteru defeated him. As she is running away from him, she happens to find Nishijima at the Demolition Grounds of Bougeijyutsu University. However Minene quickly tries to abscond, as she comes to think of that he is a part of Sakurami's Police Departments. However she is not quick enough, as Nishijima caughts her only a few seconds after. They do not have much time though, as 3rd is just about to reach them.
-Minene and Nishijima hides to what Geijyutsu University used to be. As they are walking around in the building, Nishijima gets to think of that Minene may be feeling cold and offers her a rather feminine dress that he happened to find scattered around the ruins. Minene refuses to take it on, however what seems like only a few minutes after, she comes out of a closet wearing it. As they are planning on what to do with 3rd, Nishijima gets to know a more "girly" side of Minene.

-Later they get out and find 3rd. They make him run up to the Music Room in the university they are placed in, where several number of stereos are scattered around. As 3rd reaches them, Minene turns on her sound bomb, and as the extremely loud sounds are going, Minene and Nishijima gets a chance to abscond. Though they did seem like a very happy couple, Minene shoots him down, much to the surprise of [[Muru Muru]], which has been watching the whole time while she had read a shoujo manga, expecting the "love" story of Minene and Nishijima to be the same. Though she later admit that it indeed was fun to experience being a girl for once.

-In the fifth and last manga Minene meets [[Aru Akise|Akise Aru]], who helps her despite knowing who she really is. Minene takes off to participate in a miss contest in Sakurami City during a festival. The other participants are [[Hinata Hino]], [[Ai Mikami]], [[Kamado Ueshita|Ueshita Kamado]], Yuki's mother [[Rea Amano]],[[Mao Nonosaka| Mao Nonosaka]] and [[Orin Miyashiro|Miyashiro Orin]]. Instead of who is the most pretty, the contest is about throwing darts, solving a puzzle and arm wrestling. Minene wins the contests by cheating her way out, but she flees before she can receive her prize. Akise goes to the starving Minene and brings her food that the shop owners sent her for brightening the festival and the contest.
